Hourly cleaning or a deep clean in Riyadh: when each one is enough

A lot of families in Riyadh want a short visit every week and a deep clean much less often. Mixing the two up is the usual disappointment: an hour or two does not empty cupboards or cut a year of grease off the hood.
What a short visit covers

A short visit, two or four hours with one or two people, puts the house back in order:
- Floors and hallways.
- Visible kitchen surfaces and the sink.
- Bathrooms on the surface: basin, mirror, floor.
- A light tidy of the majlis and bedrooms.
That is useful between deep cleans, after a heavy week, and in a small apartment. Dust in Riyadh comes back quickly, so the short visit keeps what you already have. It does not start from zero.
What it does not cover
Do not expect a short visit to finish:
- Inside the oven and fridge, or behind appliances.
- Cupboards, or built-up grease.
- Marble polishing or cement stains.
- An AC wash or a tank clean.
- Facades and high outside glass.
If the house has not had a deep clean in months, or it has just come out of finishing work, a short visit will touch the surface and leave the dirt where it is.
When to book a deep clean

- After dust waves.
- Before Ramadan, Eid, and guests.
- When you move in or move out.
- When the villa is several floors and has not been deep cleaned this year.
The room-by-room list is in the deep cleaning guide. The rule there: a routine visit every week or two, a deep clean two to four times a year for most homes.
How to choose the length of the visit
- A typical apartment: a short visit is enough for the weekly upkeep, and a working day for the deep clean.
- A villa: two hours will not finish two floors and a row of bathrooms. Split the work across days, add people, or book the deep clean.
- Tell us the condition: furnished or empty, when it was last deep cleaned, and which room matters most.
Rock Rush books cleaning as a visit with a clear scope, not as an open-ended hour. If you only want a weekly reset, say so when you book and we will confirm that the time and the crew fit the house. If the house needs the deep work, you get a price before we start, from the prices page.
If you clean between visits, never mix two products: here are the cleaner mixes you should never try, and why.
Frequently asked questions
Will two hours clean the whole villa?
No. Two hours suit an apartment’s visible upkeep, or one part of a villa such as the majlis and kitchen. A whole villa needs a crew and more time.
Should I start with a short visit and book the deep clean later?
Yes, if the house is in fair shape and you want to keep it that way. If dirt has built up, start with the deep clean, then keep it with shorter visits.
Does the short visit include sofas and carpets?
Not unless we agree that first. Washing a majlis or a sofa is its own job. See the majlis and upholstery guide.
What should I prepare?
Put valuables away, name the rooms you want done, and leave a path in the kitchen and bathrooms. Mention any sensitive surface.
The short version
A short visit maintains. A deep clean restores. Ask for the visit that matches the house, not the shortest slot on a list. Book a clean and say whether you want weekly upkeep or a deep clean.
