Facade cleaning: rope access or a lift?

The same facade can be cleaned two ways: rope-access workers coming down from the roof, or a lift raising the crew from the ground. The building decides, not preference.

When rope access fits

  • Towers and tall buildings a lift cannot reach.
  • Buildings on narrow streets or with no space in front.
  • Long flat facades of glass or cladding.

When a lift fits

  • Low-rise buildings, showrooms and villas.
  • Facades with ledges and canopies that are hard to work around on ropes.
  • Short jobs that need quick moves between parts of the building.

What changes the price

Prices start from 7 SAR per m² of glass, and depend on height, access and how dusty it is. Details are on the prices page.

Safety first

Either way the crew works in harnesses with full safety gear, and the walkway below is closed off. We also supply rope-access workers and cleaning crews on daily or monthly terms for large buildings. Our facade and glass guide walks through the steps.

FAQ

Can you work while the building is in use?

Yes. We agree times with building management, usually early morning.

How often should a facade be cleaned?

In Riyadh, every three to six months, and after big dust storms.
